Arizona Ave. Residence Wins AIA DC 2016 Unbuilt Merit Award

EL Studio is proud to announce that the Arizona Avenue Residence was awarded 2016 UNBUILT Merit Award.

The UNBUILT Awards bridge the gap between academic and professional design communities by providing a forum for recognizing the contributions, both commissioned and non-commissioned, of younger and established practitioners alike. Unbuilt projects play a unique role in supporting vibrant discourse in the architectural community and have a chance to view the winning submissions.

The jury was comprised of Eric Hӧweler, AIA – Hӧweler + Yoon, David Rubin, ASLA, FAAR – Land Collective, and Gabriel Smith, FAIA – Thomas Phifer and Partners. EL STUDIO is honored to receive this honor alongside such esteemed architects as Archotus, Joseph Brookover, Jr., Gronning Architects, Meditch Murphey Architects, Landscape Architecture Bureau & FXFOWLE Architects, Thuy Do & Haomin Yang (University of Maryland, College Park), Mohamed Ismail (University of Virginia), and KUBE architecture.
